Trust and Confidence: The Cornerstone of Executive Protection Professionals

ree

As a former U.S. Secret Service agent, I’ve always held our creed—"Worthy of Trust and Confidence"—as a symbol of honor. In Executive Protection (EP), the trust and confidence our clients place in us is sacred and non-negotiable. It's a privilege that comes with immense responsibility, one that should never be taken lightly.

I’m sharing this article from Yahoo Entertainment, which highlights an example of "EX" security personnel failing in their duties, leading NBA legend Michael Jordan to address a security breach. This wasn’t just about the physical safety of Mr. Jordan, but about the integrity and professionalism required in executive protection. The individual assigned to safeguard him had failed to meet the high standards expected in such a critical role. As someone accustomed to the pressure of performance, Michael Jordan ensured the situation was promptly addressed.

This event serves as a stark reminder of the importance of executive protection professionals who can be trusted under pressure and consistently meet the expectations placed upon them. In executive protection, the trust our clients place in us isn’t just a job—it’s a sacred duty that we must uphold with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
